Metro Wire Shelving – Finishes and Construction

Chrome Shelves are the most popular in the metro wire shelving line. The finish is durable, cleans easily and supports conductive split sleeves. Chrome is not recommended for food service applications. Instead, look at stainless steel shelving or Metroseal 3™ finishes.

Stainless Steel Wire Shelving

Stainless Steel wire shelving is stronger and more robust than all Metro wire shelving products. It resists corrosion in dry, wet, cold, and humid environments. It cleans easily and is impervious to solvents and other cleaners. Stainless steel is favored in cleanrooms, static controlled areas, food service, and manufacturing floors.

Metroseal 3™ Antimicrobial Shelving

Metroseal 3™ incorporates advanced corrosion resistant properties with Microban antimicrobial protection. Microban protects against odors and stains caused by bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungi. It is less expensive than Stainless Shelving making it a popular option for food service.

Black Wire Shelving

Metro black wire shelving is popular for a “dressed up” look. Perfect for displaying products or decorations, it is often used in retail environments or in the home. Whenever a cosmetic look is important, black wire shelving is a great storage or merchandising solution.

Solid Steel Shelves

Galvanized shelves have uncoated cast corners that are ideal for applications requiring a solid shelf or work surface that is sturdy and corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel shelves are made of Type 304 Stainless Steel and feature epoxy-coated cast corners.

MetroMax i

Polymers benefit clean environments with the economic advantage of a long life cycle. MetroMax i has a unique polymer blend which is both lightweight and durable. The surface is easy to clean and promotes sanitation and disinfection.

MetroMax Q®

MetroMax Q has an advanced polymer construction integrated with an epoxy coated steel design. It offers superior weight capacity versus traditional wire shelving. You’ll save time when cleaning, as the design avoids the nooks and crevices of traditional wire shelving.
