How to Clean Acrylic Panels
Dusting
Use one teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent and a pint of water. Apply this solution with an atomizer or spray bottle and wipe dry until glossy smooth. Use a clean wipe or mop depending on if you are pre-cleaning or final cleaning.
Cleaning
A detergent solution and clean wipers are recommended for acrylic panel cleaning. Note that the wiping process may build electrostatic charge and attract dust particle from the air. Wiping with a damp chamois will remove this charge as well as the dust. Do not use windows cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, benzene, acetone, or carbon tetrachloride.
Tar Removal
A high-quality VM&P Naptha, Kerosene, or other Aliphatic Hydrocarbon compound is recommended to remove tar, grease, paint, ect.
Scratch Removal
Polish application removes most scratches. Scratches that penetrate the surface level require buffing equipment with a cotton wheel.

How to Clean Aluminum Skinned Panels
Aluminum Panel Cleaning
An advantage of aluminum panels is that they require a minimal amount of care. When cleaning is necessary, test a small area first before applying to the entire panel.
Dirt & Dust Removal
Clean normal dirt and dust with a cloth or sponge. A solution of warm water and a mild detergent (Pine Sol, Spic N’ Span, ect.) is effective, but always follow company SOP’s in cleanroom applications. Steam cleaning is acceptable in USDA inspected facilities
Hard Water Spot Removal
Remove hard water spots with a 10% solution of Acetic acid in cold water.
Adhesive, Oils, Difficult Substances
Mineral spirits and a clean white cloth remove adhesives, oils, or difficult substances. Then rinse with clean water.
Avoid abrasive products such as steel wool, Brillo, Comet, ect.
CleanTech™ Duo™ Microfiber Sponge
The microfiber laminated foam is ideal for cleaning/disinfecting all types of surfaces including hard to reach areas like behind equipment and piping, door handles, transition surfaces and all surfaces where a mop cannot reach. As well as equipment and furniture such as hoods, isolators, piping and cabinets. The sponge can be used with either the bucket or pre-prepared method. The double sided, hand held design results in higher degree of user control.
Maintenance of MDF Core/ Melamine Surfaced Panels
Clean with warm water and mild soaps. Do not use cleaners which contain abrasives, acids or alkalis.
Maintenance of Softwall Curtains
Warm water and a mild dish soap is the best softwall curtain cleaning solution. Generally, any biodegradable is acceptable. A 50/50 solution of Isopropyl Alcohol & DI water is also effective. Wash curtains front side and back, rinse with clean water, then wipe dry with a clean lint-free soft cloth.
